Necip Akar who graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, began working to improve the Turkish pharmaceutical industry.

"He produced the toothpaste called Necip.

He started to produce the toothpaste called Radyolin.

Necip Akar, realised his domestic pharmaceutical production passion: He started the production of Gripin.

Gripin was continued to be produced in the laboratory in the newly built Radyolin Laboratory in Mecidiyeköy.

The first factory building was built in Cağaloğlu and by now Gripin was well known brand by everyone.

We lost Necip Akar in an unfortunate boating accident. His wife Melahat Akar and his daughter Nebahat Türkan Özsezen have continued to operate as sole proprietors.

The company Gripin Laboratory was restructured as Necip Akar Successor Inc. which continued to operate as a joint stock company under this title. Nebahat Türkan Özsezen was elected as Chairman of the Board, and her husband Dr. Vedat Özsezen was elected as Board Member and General Manager.

Increasing its production capacity, Gripin moved to a new factory in Zincirlikuyu.

The name of the company is changed to Necip Akar Holding. From then on, all newly founded companies would be reunited under the new holding’s umbrella.

At the beginning of the year, a new production company named Gripin Ilaç A.Ş. was founded. 50% of the shares of Gripin Ilaç A.Ş. belonged to Necip Akar Holding A.Ş. while the other 50% where held by members of the family.

Gripin İlaç A.Ş. moved to the newly built modern high capacity production factory in Avcılar.

Today's, Gripin İlaç A.Ş. has the licence of the products called Gripin Cachet, Gripin Bebe Pediatric Syrup (100 and 150 ml), Paracet Junior 160 mg Lac Tablet, Opon 500 mg Tablet, Gripin Hot Single Use Sachet Containing Powder (6 and 12 sachets), Gripin Hot Pediatric Single Use Sachet Containing Powder (6 and 12 sachets), Gripin Hot Diabetic Single Use Sachet Containing Powder (6 and 12 sachets), Gripin Capsule (4 and 8 capsules), Grizinc Capsule (40 capsules), Grizinc 15 mg/5 ml Syrup (100 ml) and Gripal Tablet (10 and 20 Tablets) and serves successfully to the public.
